This is the official English translation of the book originally published in Spanish as ‘La verdad sobre las energías “verdes”: ¿Realmente son respetuosas con el medio ambiente?’
To avert a supposedly imminent “climate catastrophe” of global and apocalyptic proportions, Germany is diving headfirst into an abstruse project called the “energy transition”, standing alone in its fervor to carry it out. The heroic and self-sacrificing mission is clear: the complete and permanent shift of electricity and energy supply to so-called “renewable energies.” The goal is to entirely replace the previously highly reliable energy production from coal and nuclear power with that generated by wind, sun, and other “green and sustainable” sources. Meanwhile, the campaign for solar farms, pumped-storage power plants, and large-scale battery systems, all aimed against “backward” fossil fuels, is widely accepted by a broad segment of the German population as perfectly normal. However, the fact that the fundamentals of physics are being misinterpreted or romanticized due to ignorance is skillfully swept under the rug by politicians, businesses, and the media, leaving the average citizen largely unaware.
This could soon change, because, at the very latest, a nationwide blackout and the ensuing escalation of life-threatening risks would inevitably shatter collective ignorance. For many Germans, if not the majority, the realization that they have been steering themselves toward their own ruin for two decades might, unfortunately, come too late.
